HATBC brought it to my attention, that when you type the letters o and k together to use the short version of "okay", you'll end up with this emoticon ok.

If you type the word "okay" in lowercase without quotations, you'll still end up with ok.

I rarely use "ok" as I prefer "okay", but since this ok is going to pop up a lot, I'd like to know if you'd all like it removed from the list of smileys/emoticons as it may irriate.

I've noticed it in a few recent post and I don't know if the member(s) didn't read the messages after posting, or just didn't care about the big blue OK.

Do we keep it or get rid of this..... ok ?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, Clare. I'll see what others have to say.

Note -

I will be removing the emoticon.

I was adding a fanfic and as I looked over it, I saw ok many times throughout.
It looks very tacky in a fanfic, so it'll be gone in a few minutes.

I think that fanfic authors and fans would agree because of this.

Thanks!

I agree. I mean the emotion doesn't bother me once or twice in a post, but it would in a fanfic, and I'd probably be sick of the emotion altogether in a month or so! LOL!

Yeah, it annoyed me then, and I know it'd drive me up the wall later.

Yes, this.... lol ... is shown when LOL is in lowercase. I always use uppercase because it's supposed to be loud.
